AB1049 THE STATUS OF BREG CELLS IN PATIENTS WITH ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a common chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease that primarily affects the sacroiliac joints, spine and peripheral attachments of ligaments. Regulatory B cells (Bregs) are unique subpopulations with immune-regulating properties. Interestingly, different subsets Breg have distinct markers phenotypes participate in self-immune regulation ways. However, level AS remains debated. Objectives This study aims to clarify proportions unique, controversial cellular patients. Methods We explored proportion patients by searching literature through January 10, 2023, from 11 Databases. Random effects model was used pool data. Heterogeneity risk bias were examined I-squared index (I 2 ) statistic. Inconsistency evaluated using I Egger tests evaluate potential publication (STATA v.12.0). Results A total 7 case-control studies involving 278 237 healthy controls (HCs) included this study(Table 1). No significant difference evident between HCs[SMD=-0.324, 95%CI(-0.971, 0.323), P=0.327]. Because statistical heterogeneity observed [p<0.1, =89.2%], we conducted sub-analyses based on individual definitions cells. found CD19 + CD24 hi CD38 no HCs [SMD=-0.546, 95%CI (-1.126, 0.034), P=0.065](Figure The CD27 increased compared HCs[SMD=0.965, (0.339, 1.590), P=0.003] (t=1.35, p=0.236). Conclusion levels significantly patients, suggesting abnormalities cell numbers function critical causes development AS. Table 1. Characteristics meta-analysis. Frequency of cardiac involvement among patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Background and aims: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is an idiopathic chronic inflammatory disease mainly involves sacroiliac and axial joints; but it may also have extra-articular involvement. Accordingly, this study was designed to determine the frequency of cardiac involvement among patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: This study was performed as a descriptive-analytical cross-se...

Urolithiasis in ankylosing spondylitis: Correlation with Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index (BASDAI), Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index (BASFI) and Bath ankylosing spondylitis metrology index (BASMI)

Background: Increased incidence of renal stone has been reported in ankylosing spondylitis (AS), but unlike some well-known renal involvements, they have not been fully studied. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of AS with urolithiasis and also the relation between urinary stone and severity markers. Methods: One hundred-sixty three AS patients were included in a cross-s...

ASSOCIATION OF HLA-B27 WITH ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS IN ISFAHAN, IRAN

Using a standard microcytotoxicity (NIH) technique of tissue typing, the HLA-B27 antigen was identified in 30 out of 34 patients (HH.2%) with classical ankylosing spondylitis (AS), compared to 6 out of 70 controls (H.6%) (P < 0.005). We also found this antigen in 8 out of 76 (10.5%) patients with non-AS arthritis.

Hip Replacement in Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Hip involvement in Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients with preexisting spinal deformity further compromises their posture and limits their mobility. Although medical management has improved the outcome and may have reduced the need for surgery, orthopedic surgery and in particular Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) is often required to manage pain and restore function and mobility. THA remains the ...
